Description

Six screwdrivers in one set cover most of the screws that turn up around a house, from a loose hinge to the battery compartment of a remote. This Truper set pairs flat and Phillips tips in the sizes that come up most, with magnetized tips that hold the screw steady while you work with a free hand.

Features

  • Chrome-vanadium steel shafts, resistant to twisting under torque.
  • Three flat tips, 3, 5 and 6 mm.
  • Three Phillips tips, PH0, PH1 and PH2.
  • Magnetized tips that hold the screw in place without needing a second hand.
  • Three-layer handle, with a rigid core and a rubber cover.
  • The six tips cover everything from small appliances to furniture and hinges.
  • Unit format, approximate weight up to 1 kg.

Always match the tip exactly to the screw slot: a tip that’s too small slips and rounds off the head, while one that’s too large won’t seat fully in the slot. The rubber cover on the handle cuts down on slipping when your hands are wet or sweaty, and the rigid core carries the turning force through without the handle twisting in the process. In tight spots, gripping the screwdriver closer to the tip gives more control than holding it by the end of the handle.

The six pieces store loose or in whatever case the set ships with, depending on the presentation; check now and then for tips showing rounded wear, since a worn tip slips more easily and can damage both the screw and the surface you’re working on. Keeping them together in one spot, rather than scattered across different drawers, saves time every time a loose screw turns up.
