Description
This 750 W Bosch hammer drill handles everyday drilling in wood and metal as well as the tougher work of boring into concrete, brick or masonry, thanks to a selector that switches between standard and hammer mode. It’s the tool worth having on hand before tackling any job that means drilling into a wall.
Features
- 750 W motor.
- Hammer-action selector, for concrete, brick and masonry.
- Standard drilling mode, for wood and metal.
- 13 mm keyless chuck.
- Trigger-variable speed and reversible rotation.
- Includes auxiliary handle and depth stop.
- One tool covers both drilling and driving, without switching to a different unit.
- Unit format, approximate weight 1 to 2 kg.
To drill masonry, switch to hammer mode, fit a bit rated for concrete, and start at low speed until the tip bites into the surface; for wood and metal, switch back to standard mode to avoid unnecessary vibration and premature wear on the bit. The depth stop makes it easy to repeat holes of the same depth when several wall plugs need to line up, and the auxiliary handle gives the extra control that hammer mode calls for. On vertical surfaces, leaning your body weight behind the tool helps keep the bit straight and stops it from wandering as the hole starts.
Reverse rotation also comes in handy for backing out a stuck bit or using the drill as a driver for light fastening jobs. Keep the chuck free of dust, especially after drilling masonry or concrete, since fine dust left inside can affect how well it grips a bit on the next job if it isn’t cleaned out regularly. A quick wipe-down after each use keeps the housing free of grit that would otherwise work its way into the trigger and switch over time.
