Description
This 2-burner, 3500 W combined Milexus induction cooktop is an alternative to a gas stove for anyone who wants precise temperature control and to heat only what’s needed. Because it heats the cookware directly instead of the ceramic glass surface, it makes better use of energy and cools down much faster as soon as the pot comes off.
Features
- Unit format, two cooking zones.
- 3500 W combined power.
- Ceramic glass surface with touch controls.
- Independent power, temperature or timer setting per burner.
- Requires cookware with a ferromagnetic base.
The touch controls let you set power, temperature or timer independently on each of the two zones, so you can run a pot at high heat and a pan at low heat at the same time without one affecting the other. Before using it, check that your pots and pans have a ferromagnetic base, easy to test by holding a magnet to the bottom: if it sticks, the cookware works on the cooktop. The ceramic glass surface wipes clean with a damp cloth as soon as it cools, since it never gets as hot as a traditional burner, so spilled food doesn’t burn or stick as stubbornly. The built-in timer signals when the set time is up, useful for dishes that can’t be left unattended for even a few extra minutes on the stove.
It ships in a box with the surface protected by a plastic film over the glass, which should be peeled off before first use. Given its weight, it’s best placed on a firm, level surface, and always cleaned with the unit off and cool to avoid damaging the touch panel.
