Description
This clear silicone sealant in a 280 ml cartridge is the right choice for bathroom and kitchen joints that need to stay both watertight and flexible, something a rigid filler can’t sustain over time. It cures on contact with air moisture, so there’s no mixing or activator required.
Features
- Unit format, 280 ml cartridge.
- Acetic silicone that cures with ambient moisture.
- Retains elasticity once cured.
- Mold-resistant in humid areas.
- Requires a caulking gun.
Apply it with a standard caulking gun, cutting the nozzle tip to match the width of the joint you need, and running a continuous bead along the seam between tub and wall, around a sink, or along a window frame. Before applying, the surface should be dry and free of old silicone residue, since fresh product doesn’t bond well over the remains of a previous sealant. Once applied, smooth it with a wet finger or a plastic tool before it starts to skin over, and let it cure undisturbed for the time stated on the cartridge. Because it keeps its elasticity once cured, it moves with the normal expansion and contraction of materials from temperature or humidity instead of cracking, which is exactly where a rigid filler fails over time. Its mold resistance makes it suitable for joints that stay constantly exposed to water, where a plain filler would darken and crack within a season.
It comes in a standard 280 ml cartridge that fits any conventional caulking gun. Once opened, it’s best used within a few days, since the same air that cures it in the joint also starts hardening what’s left inside the cartridge and around the nozzle tip.
